Hey my zoulous and welcome to this new article. This time we're going to talk about the new crafting system introduced during season 27: Mastering.
What is the Honing system?
This system comes to complement the reforge system. Its goal is truly to maximize your weapon's performance.
If you want to perform a Honing, your weapon must have at least 3 stats at 60% of their maximum.
Crafting strategy: 3 stats or 6 stats at 60%?
In a perfect world, you would want a legendary weapon with 6 relevant stats for your class at 60% or more, but this implies one very important thing.
When you perform a Honing, one of the eligible non-maxed stats will be chosen. If you have 6 stats at 60%, it will take a very long time to optimize, but if you make it to the end, you will have an incredible weapon.
You can also choose to have only 3 stats at least at 60%, which will allow you to reach the max tiers faster. It's up to you to choose your strategy.
An important thing to know about the tiers for normal attributes: they are divided into 5 tiers, and each tier has its own potential progression percentage. For example, if the chosen attribute is at the first tier, there will be a white bar progression between 24 and 30%.
If you are now at the last tier, you will get an increase between 4 and 10%.
By the way, I haven't mentioned it yet, but the attribute increase only occurs when the attribute in question reaches 100% after Honing. The attribute is then upgraded and the percentage resets to 0%, unless you are at the max tier, in which case the attribute can no longer be improved.
We talked about tiers for normal attributes, but there are also special attributes where, no matter where you are, you will get a 10 to 30% increase. But you might ask, what is a special attribute?
Well, you can find special attributes notably on refined blue blueprints.
How to get Honing Ingots?
Regarding how to obtain the Honing Ingots required for each Honing, you can get them through different methods:
1st method:
supply vouchers. You can get up to 6 per week.
2nd method: in the free and paid
battle pass. Up to 30 by completing all tiers.
3rd method: in the
ranked shop, 20 per season.
4th method: the
renown shop, 10 per season.
5th method: in the
weekly quests, 6 per week with a premium account.
6th method: the
shop, you can also buy these ingots through the different tabs of the store.
If you wish to buy them, make sure to use the discounted packs first before purchasing them individually, which is extremely expensive.
