The Yanyuedao is a unique cavalry unit because it doesn't rely on a single charge or a follow commander, but rather on a charged skill. To deal damage with a Yanyuedao, you must first press skill 1 well before contact and fully charge your skill bar. Once it's full, you can press skill 1 again, triggering a devastating area-of-effect attack that can completely turn the tide of a fight. Note that you can change direction while the skill is charging, so it's often advantageous to flank and then execute the skill from the side or behind.
