Hi my Zoulous and welcome to this article! Today we’re going to talk about how to obtain purple and blue blueprints, as well as the possibilities offered by crafting in Conqueror's Blade!
What is a blueprint?
To begin with, what is a blueprint? A blueprint is a weapon or armor component that allows you to craft an item at the blacksmith. In the case of a blue blueprint, weapons and armor are two different types of blueprints, whereas with a purple blueprint you will be able to craft either an armor piece or a weapon.
In addition, you should know that a blueprint has two possible states. Either it is bound (small chain icon in the top-right corner). In this case, if you use it in a craft, the resulting item will also be bound and cannot be sold to another player. Of course, the second state is unbound, meaning it can logically be resold.
Now that we have differentiated the blueprint states, let’s talk about how to obtain them.
Methods to obtain purple / blue blueprints
And we’ll start with the methods shared by both blue and purple blueprints
Territory Wars
1st method: Territory Wars!
Indeed, at the end of each Conqueror’s Blade season, you will receive a specific currency depending on the territories owned by your house. Naturally, the more territory you control, the more options you will have.
This method allows you to obtain a bound purple blueprint, as well as bound blue weapon and armor blueprints.
Drops
2nd method: Drops!
Of course, simply playing Conqueror's Blade in sieges, field battles, expeditions, or raids gives you a chance to obtain blueprints. These chances are fairly low—especially for purple blueprints—but the advantage is that in most cases they are unbound.
Auction House
3rd method: the Auction House
Naturally, if you have enough silver coins, you can directly buy blueprints from the Auction House. Be careful though: while blue blueprints are fairly accessible, this is not really the case for purple blueprints, whose prices can skyrocket very quickly.
That concludes the methods shared by the two rarest blueprint types, so let’s move on to the methods specific to each blueprint rarity.
Methods to obtain blue blueprints
Blue blueprints can be obtained through:
- The Battle Pass, simply by increasing your seasonal level.
- Certain seasonal challenges, notably those from Season 4, where you can obtain a blue weapon blueprint
- The Seasonal Shop, in exchange for Blades (note that from one season to another, you keep your Blades, so you can save them between seasons)
- F4 quests, especially along the Path of Justice and the Path of Wisdom.
Aaaand that’s it—that’s already quite a lot. But now let’s move on to what you’re probably waiting for the most: obtaining purple blueprints.
Methods to obtain purple blueprints
Ranked Battles
1st method: Ranked Battles.
If you reach the 2100 rating, you will receive a bound purple blueprint of your choice as a reward. Very practically speaking, try to play with the same players—preferably using voice chat—throughout the season in order to build synergy and be more effective.
Season Donations
2nd method: Season Donations
This mechanic, introduced in Season 6, consists of donating certain items in order to reach reward milestones. One of the final milestones notably allows you to obtain a bound purple blueprint. This is probably the easiest method to obtain a purple blueprint.
Crafting specifics
That wraps up the methods for obtaining blue and purple blueprints. Now let’s move on to crafting specifics.
First of all, when you want to craft an item for your hero, you need to go to the blacksmith.
Once there, you will choose which item to craft. For example, let’s take the double-recurve bow. To craft it, you will need the appropriate blueprints as well as crafting resources.
We won’t cover how to obtain crafting resources here, but if you’re interested, I’ve made a tutorial on the subject.
Let’s take a look at the interface.
In the bottom-right corner, you can see the possible outcomes regarding the rarity of your craft. In our example, we could obtain a blue, epic, or legendary bow. If we then look at the Shenxing bow, which requires a purple blueprint, you can obtain a purple or legendary bow.
*rixmome* But what’s the difference between rarity and bow types?
Good question! The bow type already affects the base stats, meaning that a bow crafted from a purple blueprint will have better base stats than one crafted from a blue blueprint. It therefore starts with an advantage.
Now you also have to take rarity into account: the higher the rarity, the more different stats receive a bonus.
For example, if the double-recurve bow you crafted is blue, it will have bonuses on 2 stats; if it is purple, 3 stats; and if it is legendary, 4 stats.
Be careful: a legendary bow is not necessarily better than a purple bow, because the allocation of bonus stats is random.
You could, for example, end up with two bonuses on slashing damage, which is a fairly useless stat for an archer. In addition, the bonus values themselves are also random—this is what we call a good roll or a bad roll. To give you an idea, I’ve put in the video description the possible bonus ranges for each weapon, as well as the best rolls I’ve personally observed.
(Note: these are not necessarily the best rolls in the game, just the ones I’ve seen through my own gear or via the Auction House.)
A small clarification: if you want to sell an item you have crafted, you must create it using unbound resources. To do this, you need to uncheck the box labeled 'Use bronze and bound materials'. If this box is unchecked, the crafted item can be sold.
*Rixmome* Deneeeee, my weapon is broken—how do I repair it?!
Ah, for that you’ll need to go to the armorer and use reconditioning. Select your weapon or armor, make sure you have all the required components, and start the reconditioning process. Once completed, your weapon or armor will be fully repaired, and you will have to choose between keeping the current stats or selecting new proposed stats. Note that the rarity can increase or decrease. This is already the end of this article. I hope you enjoyed it!
