Hello my zoulous, and welcome to this new video.In this video, we will focus more specifically on fief quests (principle, usefulness, rules, etc.)First of all, fief quests are logically accessible within fiefs.
To access them, you can use the map by clicking on a fief, then Overview, and finally Fief Quest.
You can also access them directly in the city by speaking to the brigadier.



The principle of fief quests is simple: you must bring a specific resource or trophy, in the amount indicated on the quest, to the selected fief.

Once completed, you will obtain the rewards shown in the panel on the right, and if your house owns the location, you will also receive the additional rewards listed under other rewards.





That covers the basic principle, but there are many things to consider if you want to be as efficient as possible.
Let’s start by looking at quest rewards.

Let’s go back to the fief quest interface.
We can see that you earn:
- Honor, which is useful for unlocking units or unit upgrades.
- House experience, which allows your house to level up and, for example, capture cities or forts.
- Reputation points, used to build advanced camps.
- Unit kit chests, which of course contain unit kits that help save some silver when repairing your troops’ weapons.
- And construction materials, used for example to increase a fief’s level (we will return to this point later in this tutorial).

Let’s now move on to quest limitations.

- First point: fief quests are reset on Sunday evening and remain active for one week.
- Second point: you can complete no more than 20 quests per week. To see how many you have completed, simply open a fief interface, go to fief quests, and look at the bottom left.
- Third point: each quest in a fief has a total completion limit. For example, in Hebao, the granite quest may have been completed 140 times out of 400. Once the total is reached, the quest can no longer be completed.
- Fourth point: the same quest can only be completed once per day. Therefore, over one week, you can complete it a maximum of 7 times in the same fief.



It is therefore quite useful to plan which quests you will complete throughout the week.
For example, you can aim for an average of 3 quests per day in order to focus only on the best quests from your fiefs.
This was briefly mentioned earlier, but fief quests have levels.
Indeed, the more stars a quest has, the more interesting it becomes in terms of rewards.



But how does a fief obtain high-level quests?
Each fief has a level; the higher it is, the higher-level quests it will offer.



For example, Jiedi is level 1 and only offers level 1 to 2 quests, while Hebao, which is a higher-level fief, offers quests of up to 5 stars.

So how do you increase a fief’s level?
Only the baron has the authority to upgrade a fief owned by their house, but for this to happen, the fief must reach a certain amount of construction materials, visible directly on the fief.

For example, Hebao must reach 300,000 construction materials to level up.

And how do you obtain them?
Through fief quests completed by house members in fiefs owned by the house.
In addition, every Sunday morning your house receives tributes corresponding to the fiefs you have captured.
The higher the level of your fiefs, the more tributes they are able to produce.
It is therefore extremely important, both for rewards and house progression, to upgrade your fiefs as quickly as possible.You may not have noticed, but the rarity of resources on the map changes.
For example, if near your city you have a copper mine, it may be grey on Monday, providing one type of copper, and purple on Tuesday, providing a different type of copper.

This mechanic is very important when you need to gather specific resources for your quests.
Depending on the relationship you have with the house that owns the resource you want, you will have a limited number of harvests, or even be forbidden from harvesting.

- 3 if the resource is located in your house’s territory.
- 2 if the resource is located in the territory of a member of your alliance.
- 1 if the territory allows harvesting but is not part of your alliance.
- 0 if the territory forbids harvesting.


An exception is made for requisitions, which consume a requisition order but allow you to harvest regardless of your relationship with the territory’s house.

To obtain requisition orders, you can:
- Simply log into the game. Each day you receive items, and on certain days—especially Sundays—you receive a requisition order.
- Obtain them from vault rooms. As a reminder, vault rooms most often appear after completing a bandit camp, but sometimes they also appear after other activities, such as sieges.
- Obtain one from the daily quests Vae Victis and 5 Battles.
- And finally, find them in abandoned wagons, dilapidated huts, and similar locations.
Now that we know the rules, how can we actually obtain the required resources?

First, we need to divide resources into two categories.
- Trophies, which are mainly obtained in rebel camps in significant quantities, but can also be obtained from nearby bandits, the auction house, or occasionally from abandoned houses or wagons in much smaller amounts.
- Standard resources, which must be gathered directly from production sites.



For example, if we take the Hebao Cedar Wood Supply quest, I need to provide 34,000 cedar wood.
The first thing to do is simply hover over it with my mouse to see whether I already have enough resources in stock.

If not, I need to check the rarity of the resource (here it is purple), meaning I must look for a purple sawmill.
Once located, I must go there with units to harvest, then return to the quest fief to turn it in (you must of course be careful of potential players who may attack you). I recommend bringing one combat unit just in case for defense, and not harvesting on Line 1 but rather on Line 2 or 3, as you are much less likely to encounter other players.
To change lines, simply click on Line at the top right of your screen and select the desired line.Let’s talk a bit about optimization using the productivity index.
It depends on your army composition.
Quite simply, the higher your ratio, the more resources you will gather.


(This tip is useful, for example, to reduce taxes or avoid consuming too many requisition orders.)

By default, the best composition is 5 level 7 serf units with harvesting veterancy (bottom line), or 4 serfs plus 1 combat unit such as cavalry if you are worried about being attacked on the way.

You should also pay attention to the technologies available under U. They significantly boost your harvesting.
To obtain these technologies, you need harvesting experience, which is gained each time you harvest at a production site.



One additional tip: always remember to carry some rations in your wagon to avoid traveling a long distance only to arrive at the resource with empty rations.
As a reminder, if your rations run out, you will harvest 50% less than normal.

You can also buy resources directly from the auction house to avoid farming them yourself.

A final tip regarding fief quests: rewards obtained for quests of the same level are not always identical.
So be sure to pay close attention to optimize as much as possible.
