Hi my Zoulous and welcome to this new video on Conqueror’s Blade.
In this video, we’re going to talk about a rather special entity that I call the Cohorts.
How to join a Cohort?
First of all, how do you join a Cohort?
Before joining a Cohort, it’s important to point out that there isn’t just one Cohort, but several. In fact, there is one per region. You must go to the region you’re interested in to join the associated Cohort. Once that’s done, simply press N and then join the Cohort.
And that’s it—you have officially joined the Cohort and can now participate in Territory Wars under its banner.
Now that we know how to join a Cohort, let’s take a look at its specific features.
Cohorts can be compared to a standard Conqueror’s Blade House, with the difference that a Cohort is managed by the AI. This means AI armies will appear on the world map and designate targets to attack. These attacks work in phases. First, the army appears at a location and waits for players to join it.
Once the waiting time has elapsed, the army will move toward the attack target and set up a camp, where it will wait again before launching the attack.
If an army intercepts the AI army during its movement, a battle will start. If the attacking army wins, the AI army is disbanded and no AI-organized attack will take place. If the attacking army loses, the AI army will continue its path toward the fief, benefiting from a temporary immunity to interception.
As for requirements, there are none. Any Conqueror’s Blade player can join a Cohort, provided it is not already full.
Benefits of the Cohort
Let’s talk about the benefits.
You will have the ability to teleport directly into a battle without having to travel to the fief, if the battle is opened by an AI army or if the fief already belongs to the AI, and of course if it is in the region you are currently in.
Be careful: you must be inside a fief to use this feature. You cannot teleport while in the open world.
If you invest yourself in the Cohort, you can potentially earn more rewards than in a small or medium-sized House.
Once again, if you have a sufficiently high rank within the Cohort, you will be able to access capital defenses that are unavailable to many other Houses.
In some battles, you may gain access to trebuchets, towers, and battering rams without having to pay for them.
In the Cohort, there is an absence of rules: you can play whichever class you want, with whichever units you want, and for as long as you want.
If you rank up high enough within the Cohort, you will gain access to the strategic view, allowing you to give visual indications to the Cohort during battle.
Drawbacks of the Cohort
Of course, there are also drawbacks.
The absence of rules leads to disorganization and often lower efficiency compared to a traditional House.
You cannot open a battle on a fief that already has a House war declaration. Additionally, if you open a battle on a fief by traveling there on foot, other Cohort players will not be able to teleport and will have to travel as well.
It should also be noted that any House other than the Cohort can join your battle and capture the fief if they score enough points.
Once the first capital defense is lost, you will no longer be able to attack a capital.
You will not have access to the House treasury.
You won’t truly be part of a community, which makes it harder for new players to find people to play with or receive advice from game veterans.
Despite this, Cohorts provide a good introduction for new players who want to discover Territory Wars in a softer way, without any particular commitment.
Cohort Optimization
We’ve seen the advantages and disadvantages of the Cohort—let’s move on to optimization.
Make sure to prepare your open-world loadouts before the start of GvG so you’re ready when teleportation occurs (or when the battle starts if you traveled there).
To ensure you get into a battle, you can join the camps set up by AI armies to gain priority over players who teleport in.
You can also go directly to the location and enter the battle as soon as it starts. The advantage is that you don’t have to wait for the battle opening timer (i.e., 30 seconds) to join. This is especially useful for large battles where entry is contested between Cohorts.
Additionally, to maximize your gains, try to rank as high as possible within the Cohort by completing weekly quests and group quests, for example.
Try to join as many battles as possible and score as many unit kills as you can to maximize your score. This is already the end of this article. I hope you enjoyed it. Don’t forget the thumbs up if you liked it, and if you want to follow the channel, subscribe! I remind you that you can use the code
