And to begin with, we will first list the different methods for obtaining Honor, then we will talk about optimization possibilities.
1st method: Sieges.
Depending on your involvement in the battle, you will earn more or less Honor.
As a reminder, the actions that increase your score are:
- The number of enemy units killed
- The number of heroes killed
- The number of assists
- Damage dealt and received
- The number of artillery pieces destroyed
- And finally, the number of participation points (capturing points or preventing captures while defending, destroying gates with the battering ram, placing siege towers)
The more effective you are in each of these aspects, the higher the Honor gained will be.
Roughly speaking, you can expect around 60 to 100 Honor for a poor match, and around 150 to 300 Honor for a good match, with an average duration of 10 to 15 minutes.
2nd method: Field Battles.
Just like sieges, field battles allow you to earn Honor by being effective in combat, with the only difference being that you do not have access to battering rams or siege towers.
The Honor gain for a poor match ranges between 20 and 90, while a good match usually grants between 120 and 200 Honor, for an average duration of 10 minutes.
3rd method: Expeditions.
Here, depending on the expedition, you will have access to siege towers or capture points. The system is more or less the same as sieges or field battles.
Depending on the expedition level, you will earn more or less Honor:
- For a level 20 expedition: between 20 and 30 Honor in 5 to 10 minutes.
- For a level 40 expedition: between 30 and 45 Honor in 6 to 13 minutes.
- For a level 60 expedition: between 50 and 65 Honor in 6 to 14 minutes.
4th method: Fief quests.
Each fief in Conqueror’s Blade has fief quests that can be accessed directly via the world map.
Depending on their difficulty, these quests reward more or less Honor.
To maximize Honor gains, simply prioritize quests with the highest number of stars, keeping in mind that you are limited to 20 weekly quests.
Important information: if your House owns a fief and you complete your fief quests within it, you will also receive bonus rewards that stack with the standard rewards. It is therefore very important to level up your fief as much as possible.
Tip 01 - Knowing your inventory content
Small tip: from the fief quest interface, you can see what you have in stock and plan a logical route to optimize both your Honor and your time.
To do this, open the fief interface,
click on 'Fief Quests',
then click on one of the fief quests and hover your mouse over the resource required to complete it.
You can see how many of that resource you have on you as well as in your storage.
Tip 02 - Knowing which quests are available around you
Second small tip: based on the contents of your wagon, you can see which quests are available within a radius of about 450 meters.
To do this, open your inventory and go to the second tab. A window will open with a list of fiefs that have quests related to the contents of your wagon.
Note that if the text is green, you have enough resources for the quest. If it is orange, you will need to gather more.
5th method: Daily / Weekly quests.
Indeed, through daily quests you can obtain Honor, especially the 'Vae Victis', 'Three Battles', and 'Five Battles' quests, which together grant a total of 600 Honor per day, for an average duration of about 40 minutes for good sessions and up to 2 hours for less efficient ones.
You also have weekly quests that you can complete alongside your regular activities, and of course they grant Honor as well.
For example, if I press L and go to the Weekly Quests tab, Warlord menu, 'Formidable Besieger' quest, I can see that the reward is an Epic Weapon Crate.
If we CTRL + click on it, we can see that it contains many items, including 400 Honor points.
There are quite a few quests like this, and I encourage you to complete them if you want to earn Honor quickly.
Additionally, each completed weekly quest grants Battle Points. If you accumulate enough, you will receive additional rewards that also contain Honor.
6th method: GvG
GvG, or TW (Territory War), is the flagship activity of Conqueror’s Blade. It allows you to conquer territories, which in turn lets you earn more Honor, for example when completing fief quests.
But! GvG itself (attacking or defending a city) is not particularly profitable, as it depends heavily on capture or defense time. If you die before the end, you will earn very little Honor, and of course it also depends on your impact in the match.
It is still a source of Honor, so I’ve included it as a potential method.
7th method: Bandit camps
You can find bandit camps on the map, which are instances where you need to capture different points.
This activity grants Honor based on the camp level as well as the number of capture points, units killed, heroes killed, etc.
- For an Easy camp, you can expect around 70 Honor in 5 to 10 minutes.
- For a Moderate camp, around 80 Honor in 6 to 12 minutes.
- And for a Hard camp, around 100 Honor in 8 to 15 minutes.
8th method: Nearby bandits.
Even though the Honor gained from bandits may seem low, the time investment is also very small, and with some unit optimization it is possible to be reasonably efficient.
For bandits:
- Easy difficulty: around 11 Honor for 1 minute
- Moderate difficulty: around 13 Honor for about 2 minutes
- Hard difficulty: around 14 Honor for an average of 1 minute and 20 seconds
And when compared to previous activities, this almost reaches the siege ratio and even surpasses that of field battles.
For information, this simulation was carried out using data from my own matches and may differ for other players depending on their units and playstyle.
For the curious, you can find the simulations here -->
simulation.
9th method: Events
Conqueror’s Blade regularly offers events that are often very interesting in terms of Honor.
For example, currently we have the Great Wall event, which is essentially a castle attack against NPCs.
In this case, the Honor gained is often around 250 to 300 for about 20 minutes, which is higher than most other activity ratios.
10th method: Honor Reset Pledges.
You can use Honor Reset items to recover the Honor you invested in a branch.
Each pledge is worth 100 Honor points, and depending on how far you have progressed in the branch, the cost will increase.
For example, if I want to reset my Militia Archers, it will cost very few pledges because they are at the beginning of the branch and it hasn’t progressed further.
However, if I want to reset my Conscript Archers, it will cost much more, as it will also reset everything further up the line (such as Pyro Archers, Demesne Archers, and all units and bonuses on that branch).
Of course, once validated, all units beyond that point will no longer be available.
We’ve talked about the methods of obtaining Honor, but it’s also possible to optimize it in different ways.
Optimization 01 - Season, weekly, and unit quests
First optimization method: look at season, weekly, and unit quests to create an efficient route plan.
For example, if a weekly quest asks you to do sieges, a unit quest requires playing archers in sieges, and a daily quest asks you to complete 3 battles, then it makes sense to do everything at the same time.
You optimize both your Honor gain and your time.
Optimization 02 - Premium account
Second optimization method: the Premium account.
You can subscribe to the Premium offer via the shop to increase:
- Hero EXP by 30%
- Unit EXP by 30%
- Bronze Coin gains by 30%
- The number of chest keys from weekly quests
- And most importantly here, Honor gains by 30%
